Line Dancing in phys ed class?

Every saturday night me and some of my friends go to Ghost Riders in Butler. It is an all ages country music club. Everyone there line dances. After line dancing my heart rate is increased and im normally sweating. i think that line dancing should be taught in physical education classes. It is a lifetime activity because my grandma danced til she was 70. i think that if you teach the kids some easy dances then they can learn more if they like. you may not think it would raise your heart rate much but it is almost like jogging on the track.

I have many friends who used to go there way back in the day! I can't believe it's still there! In elementary school phys ed class, we did some linedancing and folk dancing. I remember it was really hard for me to understand and get the steps...I think that was like
3rd grade. But we did some line dancing in high school, and even thought we all acted like we felt dumb, it was actually fun! So I completely agree with you that it should be in class.

I agree that Line dancing is an amazing lifetime activity. We did line dancing in our Junior High physical education classes and even if we didn't do the exact step we were still moving and getting our hearts rates up with some type of Line dance move. It is fun for all ages and I intend on teaching line dancing in all of my classes.

I have never lined dance before. I think it looks fun and would love to try it. If it's anything like on those western movies then it's probably hard to do. I wouldn't mind trying to learn but not in public right away.
